When I got my degree in Fine Art at the University of Washington, my friends thought it was a great reason for me to paint murals in their baby’s rooms. After the 4th request for a "Winnie the Pooh Mural" I decided to make a busins out of painting these murals and have been obsessed with being an entrepreneur ever since.
My murals were in high demand. I had a waiting list for painting projects throughout the Bay Area. I painted murals full time for over 15 years, doing mostly children's rooms and businesses related to kids. I contracted with several fancy interior designers who got big projects for me. I added to my business and began teaching art classes and doing creativity workshops for businesses. My signature class, “From Artist to Entrepreneur” was voted most popular in the Border’s Book Education Series.
My career doing graphic design and later a sales executive in the printing industry prepared me well for opportunities to illustrate and consult on the printing/publishing of books. My first Children's Book project won an award for "Best Illustration"! I love helping my clients take their ideas into print!
One of my favorite entrepreneurial adventures was designing and publishing my own series of 12 "Guided Meditation Coloring Books." I sold them as a monthly membership. I later combined them into one larger book now available on Amazon called "Coloring and Meditation." I taught many workshops on “Meditation Made Easy” while selling my own coloring books to attendees.
In 2005 I became Certified as Life Coach with the intention to help entrepreneurs use their creativity to improve their lives and grow their businesses. I wanted to use my experience with the creative process to help people thrive. I wanted to thrive and knew this was exactly the path meant for me becoming a single mom starting a new chapter. I work individually and with groups on Creativity-Related Topics: Mastermind for Entrepreneurs, The Artist's Way, Enneagram Coaching/Workshops. I love balancing my artist and coaching projects and occasionally combining them is always great fun.
Now that my daughter is off to college, it's another new chapter. I am writing a children's book of my own, along with an illustrated workbook called "The Ultimate Guide to Your Spiritual Path". When I published my first book in 2014 called "Fully Expressed Living", it changed my life in such an inspiring way. I knew I would always be headed toward creating books.
Fully Inspired Publishing is launched at the perfect time, already thriving and growing. I'm excited about the next adventures of "creating award-winning books to inspire children and adults everywhere."
I'm grateful for finding ways to live the artist's life.
